Lots of times. I had a police officer draw a gun on me and I didn’t get shot so that’s a big one. I once won a roomba in a company raffle. In a D&D campaign my character got reincarnated and I got the 1/100 roll to be the same species as I started. Oh, and here’s an astronomical one, I met my fiancée through a random hookup post on the other site. We talked all night but their medication at the time gave them memory issues and they forgot me the next day. Being patient and recapping our interaction from the night before may have been the most momentous decision of my life. All predicated on the luck of seeing the post at the right time and actually getting a reply on a hookup post DM
From your post history, it sounds like you are feeling overwhelming guilt over some intrusive thoughts you’ve been having. Intrusive thoughts are natural, and (most likely) happen to everyone to varying degrees. Try to remember that it is the actions you take that define you, and not the thoughts you have. One can follow from the other but they don’t need to.
How old are you if you don’t mind my asking? I think if this is troubling you a great deal you should talk to a professional, who could equip you to lose the shame/alarm these intrusions cause you and to have some strategies to act positively regardless. This is a good idea in general, but if you are late teens to early thirties it might be especially important to see someone, particularly if this is a recent thing for you. Were you always feeling this guilt, or is it only in the past few years? Has the religious Satan/Demon aspect always been associated with these feelings for you or is that new? If these are new and you are in that age range I would especially recommend getting checked out, some lifelong mental illnesses can manifest in that time and the earlier you know the less pain it will cause you in the long run.
My Fiancee would notice very quickly. My family it would be weeks if not longer
MaxNormal TikTikTik. MaxNormal is a weird culty band, and TikTikTik is a strange song about not doing meth
SIM Park was really good for that too
You don’t have to taunt Harry that your nanomachines got a promotion before he did
There are a few different factors. I think the biggest is that the lifecycle for windows 10 is ending. Microsoft is pushing the upgrade, but 11 has Recall which is essentially AI spyware. Many folks are trying to push Linux instead of upgrading when support is fully cut off
I feel this to the extreme, I got engaged shortly before the election and I didn’t post an announcement or anything because it felt like the engagement was from a different era, at once only a few short weeks and eons ago
Aware, but heavy storms have been passing through for the last two weeks so I’m waiting it out instead of sacrificing cloth that won’t hold up as well outdoors
I planted hydrangeas in an area with too much sun exposure and they’re getting scorched leaves while I wait for shade cloth to ship
The harder I’ve worked or more active I’ve been over the weekend the worse I feel Monday. So basically lately I don’t cope.
Someone was pictured with Mexican flag in a striking photo and a lot of news outlets/pundits etc are making a big deal out of how it might offend the hypothetical “swing voter” to see a non-us flag associated with the protest and how its “bad optics.” This poster is saying maybe instead of endlessly speculating about what protests are doing that might offend disconnected third parties instead that effort should be spent telling these swing voters to grow up.
It is a thing. The classic name is the hippie speedball. I would say it definitely feels different, but I have ADHD so stimulants might work different for me than others.
