These are on my to do list. Currently been reading through Wheel of Time, which has been on my fantasy to do list for a while.

Eye of the World!
I’m about halfway through the first entry in Wheel of Time.
So far it’s been pretty solid - I just got to
The part when Rand and Mat make it to Four Kings.
It’s been rather slow in explaining lore and the magic system, but it’s at least been interesting. Reading the chase scenes and when Mat and Rand leave Whitebridge had me stressed out.
RIP Thom? I’m pretty sure but I’m very wary. That merchant, Fain, came back after being presumed dead.
Highly recommend sneaking in Warbreaker before you finish Words of Radiance if possible.
Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson.
The main character’s reflection on his past and continuation of growth really resonates with me.
Shitposts on Lemmy are basically just post whatever you want.
Sometimes it’s beans, sometimes it’s moth, sometimes it’s highly specific nostalgia. Also a lot of trans rights stuff (happy pride, btw).
Oh I’ll for sure check it out after I finish. I have heard that this series is already pretty straightforward in a classical good vs evil - which is fine by me. But I don’t want any major spoilers.
I am actually a crazy person and will listen to the audio books while I do chores/commute and read on my e-reader when actively reading. Thanks for the tip though!
It’s not a bad book - it’s just made it harder to pick up WoT to start with I think.
I usually go into fantasy novels not knowing cultures or anything about the world, but these country names are just sliding out of my brain into a memory hole.
Thanks for the heads up, but I knew what I was getting myself into haha.
It’s funny you say this, because for 500 bucks I am actually debating between the two as my Christmas present to myself this year.
I think I’d prefer a Steam Deck for no particular reason. 🏴☠️
I haven’t even hit act 2, but I am having a really good time.
Playing on expeditioner (normal) and have been having fun with the combat system - some boss fights require practice.
Soundtrack is incredible. I find the soundtrack a little loud compared to the voices on occasion, however, and had to turn this down a smidge.
The story is also well set up in Act 1 from what I can tell.
Lavender Town is more creepy.
Ecruteak is kind of depressing with the Burned Tower, but that’s always got a happy ending.
I’m always depressed when I have to go into Lumiose City since it’s giant and annoying to navigate without using Taxis.
I’ll have to check with mine. I know they have a ton of DVDs and Blu-Rays. It’s pretty much the only reason I keep my PS4 around at this point.
Upvoted for Mass Effect, my beloved.
I’d like this one haha.
