This is my favourite podcast. It features two contestants who are minor celebrities and asks them for three topics outside their field of work in which they are experts in, and then crafts a trivia quiz for them. Finally they bring in an expert to evaluate their responses, and the show is able to get some amazing experts who are a joy to listen to and usually the response from the contestent meeting the expert is incredibly wholesome.
This episode features Tim Russ so I thought the TenForward community might like it. There also some additional Star Trek trivia and personalities even during the part of the episode that features the other contestant Amber Nelson.
Tim Russ’s three topics are - Astronomy, Alien invasion movies of the 1950s and 60s, and World War II. You can find out more about why Tim was intereted in these topics.
Also noteable quote from the episide: “I think Tim might be the center of the universe!”

Ahem…
{Damn, did I just reveal that I slid in from a universe where he wasn’t in Trek?}
Wow that’s a great sci-fi summary for the show! Glad you liked it.
Geez, did I miss the Wil Wheaton episode? I think I’d remember that.
The Denise Crosby episode was really good. Walter Koenig came on as an expert one episode then he was a contestant the next episode so I think he really liked the show. Cirroc Lofton was alright and had a few trivia bits about his time on DS9 that was interesting, but I’d say it wasn’t great overall.
Anthony Rapp is just amazing. I think he talked more about Rent than Star Trek, but it was only then that I realized that I had seen him in both.
Already got a bunch downloaded. Lots to look forward to!
Thanks for the interesting link.
Unfortunately that episode does not feature Tim Russ. Because the guy in the picture is… old. Like, elderly. So it can’t be Tim Russ, because if he’s elderly, then that would mean I’m at least… 8-O
Hence, QED, unpossible!
Got me looking up Tim Russ’s age, born in 1956 already!
Found what I think is the Trek “Class of '56”

Yeah, Tim states in the podcast that he’s been an Astronomer for 35 years! It’s weird to see that the “Next Generation” of Star Trek actors are getting up there now.
He just didn’t strike me as already in his forties when VOY was running.
And the fact that the guy who ditched high school with Ferris Bueller is turning 69 in two months… what the actual F???
