I’m terrified of installing anything that I cannot easily clean. These people are utterly fearless.
I’d be terrified that something would startle the cat and she’d fall.
This has happened to our cat who managed to scramble up to a shelf in front of our big bay window in our living room. He was trying to swat at bugs that will occasionally bump into it from outside. Our shelf is twice as wide as this one, and he still lost his footing :/
Ours isn’t as high up as this one, thankfully, and we keep a cushioned rug and dog beds directly underneath it that he landed on, so he wasnt hurt. But yeah, this one would make me nervous.
'Course, they know their cat’s disposition best, maybe they’re super chill and never move very fast/suddenly. Would just hate for someone to try this and have their kitty get hurt
Until the cat decides you’re its new landing spot
Cats aren’t "it"s.
What a peculiar thing to get worked up about.
What an even more peculiar downvote amount. Even if you (the arbitrary you, not necessarily you in particular) don’t think they’re worthy of being considered beings, it’s not like I said anything offensive or off-topic.
I just don’t consider “it” to be depriving animals of “being” status.
You know what…
I went and looked this up because of this comment. I had never heard of “it” being used like that.
I’ve only ever heard it being used to specify something specifically as a non-person, or more generally a “being”. So I thought it was literally defining it as a non-being.
So TIL. I wasn’t trying to be prejudiced, I have literally never heard of “it” being anything other than specifically a non-living object.
So thanks for the chance to learn something interesting today.
