Despite having heard the name Siobhan (pronounced Sheh-vaugn), I never saw it written until many years later and in an unrelated circumstance so I assumed it was pronounced “Sigh-Oh-Ban”. Irish names are insanely confusing for anyone who isn’t Irish and I’ll eternally argue there’s no shame in getting one wrong.
Things have changed a lot since those days. The recruiter part is still decently accurate but the hoops to jump through are far more plentiful and costly these days, if they’re even open in the first place.
Why do people eat food they know isn’t good for their health? Why do people continue to buy products from companies that have proven to only sell bad products or engage in scumbag practices?
