That’s the road trip film he did right? I think I have it, just haven’t watched it yet.
I’m here for entertainment and to engage with opinions, views and perspectives different than my own to grow myself. I don’t care if you downvote but if you don’t engage me I can’t learn from it so I may block you as I’ll take it that you don’t want to see my content.

Coming everyday to sit with me in the hospital for a month; from the ICU all the way to the general ward until he walked out the front door with me.
I always knew my dad loved me but he wasn’t great at expressing it, but it was never more apparent than during that time.
They can be used interchangeably typically but anytime in this usage is grammatically correct. Any time usually would be preceded by a preposition like, “at any time” and is a noun. Anytime is an adverb.
I get this. I was listening to a podcast, Conan O’Brien’s I think, where Will Ferrell came up and they were talking about how he’s typically a pretty straightforward and serious kind of person off camera.
He turns it on for the camera but it’s not who he is in real life. There’s nothing wrong with it per se but it made him seem a lot more disingenuous to me.
I wonder if some of it doesn’t come from the people who came to America through forced immigration (I.e. the slave trade).
I think it makes sense for people brought unwillingly to America to hold on to that ethnic heritage and culture work hard to instill it in their children, even if they were born in America.
Thanks! It helps that I just had to complete that paperwork for the first time in 15ish years; I don’t think those portions were worded the same then.
Happy cake day btw!
Since marijuana, or more specifically cannabis-derived THC, is still illegal federally and you mark yes when filling out the federal firearms paperwork you will not be allowed to buy a firearm.
However, if you select No, but do use cannabis-derived THC, and admit to or it or law enforcement finds out then you’ve committed a felony. It’s the same law they applied to Hunter Biden’s case.
Why they felt the need to comment on that specifically in this thread? No idea either.
Note: I’m not aware of any cases yet that are for hemp-derived THC products that meet the legality under the 2018 Farm Bill. Thats kind of a gray area currently, so you’re taking your chances.
And we’re still seeing the chemtrails, not every day but still being sprayed over like roaches.
To clarify, are you saying you believe that long-lasting condensation trails left in the sky by high-flying aircraft are actually “chemtrails” consisting of chemical or biological agents, sprayed for nefarious purposes undisclosed to the general public?
To me it just looks like a cook top on top of a washing machine as though limitedon space.
I like this one. It’s similar to what I’d pick from English which is amble.
It means to walk at a slow, relaxed pace, often in a leisurely way.
Yeah, I’d say that would cover them pretty well. Also, happy cake day!
Did the government claim it was accurate to the law? I’m guessing just providing code doesn’t open the government to liability. That would fall on anyone who implemented it. I always assumed that’s why for-cost software has Ts&Cs that indemnify them unless you pay extra for the protection.
No. Spending time around people different from myself offers me different perspectives, interesting conversations etc.
Hanging out with someone exactly the same would be like living in an echo chamber with a yes man.
I was interested in Outer Worlds and No Man’s Sky around the same time and played OW first.
I enjoyed it while I played it and completed the story of the main game.
Then I played NMS and enjoyed that a lot too but when I went back to OW for the DLCs I got bored quickly.
Outer Worlds just seemed less fun after No Man’s Sky.
I don’t remember why I blocked .ml because it was a long time ago but I’d guess I got tired of the users and many of the communities bleeding tankies into the rest of Lemmy.
I’ve heard that blahaj has changed a lot too but I haven’t really noticed it not being in my feed so I haven’t bothered to check.
It really just depends on how sick you are, and where you are, at least in the US.
For liver they use something called a MELD score. Kidney they use GFR, maybe other things, not as sure on that.
Where matters because the US is broken into transplant regions and you can only receive an organ for a region where you’ve been listed.
That’s why, if you have money, you could go to a couple regions and get listed, then travel wherever the first organ is available.
In this particular case it was probably pretty important to transplant quickly, otherwise his kidneys likely would have failed.
This man’s life drastically changed because he made a really poor decision.
Happened to me. It was actually 6 days. Listed on a Friday, transplant was done the following Wednesday.
I think you misunderstood. I wasn’t talking about the people who claim to have some European origin but the practice in general in the US of acknowledging ancestral ethnic heritage as part of where you’re from.
This might be true now, but 200 years ago people were brought here from other countries unwillingly and had children here. If we’re were forcefully taken to another country and then had children at some point I would talk to them about the people left behind and where I came from.
