Swedneck@discuss.tchncs.deto Science Memes@mander.xyz•Well, that's no ordinary rabbit!English18·1 day agounfortunately a lot of art just sorta glues a bunch of feathers to a deinonychus and calls it a velociraptor, but here’s some stuff i feel makes more sense.
(Also side note: t.rex probably was actually mostly naked, however it was likely skin rather than scales, like a giant plucked monster turkey, which IMO is significantly worse.)more images
this is now canon in the pokemon universe
may christ have mercy on my soul, i read this in watto’s voice
fwiw there were plenty of non-avian dinosaurs with beaks, ceratopsids for one.
i’d imagine they’d largely taste like wild turkey/alligator, since that’s basically what they were and how they lived.
pretty sure velociraptors were actually smaller lmao, more along the size of turkeys
cassowaries are significantly scarier than velociraptors would have been.
where did you come from blind-your-eye Joe

“saw the ugliest fucking thing yesterday, it was like a person but tall and lanky and it was like all its hair went to the head! scared the shit out of me, but i just looked that motherfucker right in the eye and they eventually scurried off, thank god”
perhaps we’re coming at this from the wrong direction, does a bee even need lenses? maybe what they actually need is just eye protection, which would make everything much cheaper
people can dream that they’re playing doom, so yes
plus people who play games with no sensory input (i.e. blindfolded and with earplugs) are effectively just playing the game in their head
surely they could just make one big lens with facets in it? sure they’re gonna be hellishly expensive but at least they’re usable
what about when you put him in other firearms?
you know, having elves just actually work like people used to think humans work would be pretty neat: elves literally do emit magical rays from their eyes and they see what the rays hit, elves do have 3 humors that need to be in balance, etc…
but elves are magical, so what if their eyes don’t care about the physical nature of light and just sorta convert it to magical pseudo-light when it contacts their tissue?
at this point i wholly despise joanne for making “magic = latin” the cultural default, for this precise reason
can’t even read genuine actual historically used latin without part of my brain going “haha weird hogwarts spell haha”
