Easy, continue to eat and drink as expected when in the company of others. If pressed about appetite on any occasion, simply claim to have eaten beforehand.

Komodo Rodeo@lemmy.worldto TenForward: Where Every Vulcan Knows Your Name@lemmy.world•This could have been a fun spinoff series.8·3 days agoSeems like a good time to mention Perry Mason (2020-2023), another period piece film noir detective drama. It doesn’t have Patrick Stewart, Gates McFadden, or Whoopi Goldberg, but it has Robert Downy Jr. as producer, as well as Matthew Rhys Evans as lead alongside John Lithgow, Tatiana Maslany, and Shea Whigham. It got canned by HBO after a limited run of only two seasons, but still worth looking into if you like the Dixon Hill style of detective stories as seen in Star Trek: the Next Generation.

“Gustave is a man-eating male Nile crocodile that roams the Ruzizi river and the northern shores of Lake Tanganyika in Burundi, Africa. Gustave is rumored to have killed as many as 200–300 people, though one more recent estimate states the true figure is probably 60 people or fewer. He has obtained a mythical status and is greatly feared by the people in the region.”

Komodo Rodeo@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•4chan’s ‘cesspool of the internet’ is down after apparently being hackedEnglish41·10 days agoSure, but lying during a process involving security clearance would essentially hang over their head the entire time that they used the credential as a means to get work. It’s not like lying about whether or not you like the food that someone served at a dinner, it sticks.

Komodo Rodeo@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•4chan’s ‘cesspool of the internet’ is down after apparently being hackedEnglish31·10 days agoI’ve been told that for clearance above reliability that social media use becomes an issue. 4chan was specifically cited to me by the person with whom I spoke. I’d assume that this means any/all alphabet government agencies, but Army was all that I heard about specifically.
“Do you browse or use 4chan?”
“No.”
“OK, good, because you weren’t advancing beyond this stage if you said yes.”
Komodo Rodeo@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•4chan’s ‘cesspool of the internet’ is down after apparently being hackedEnglish6029·10 days agoHeard about this just a few hours ago, and have been laughing ever since. This is going to be brutal, there are people who registered with .gov e-mail addresses. As the use of 4chan has been cited to me as potentially disqualifying people seeking security clearance for government, police, or military careers, this hack single-handedly has the potential to torpedo thousands of edgy bois in one fell swoop.

It’s incredibly foolish, even given the stringent bio-hazard protocols used by labs conducting this kind of research. Here’s to hoping that whatever it is doesn’t get 12 Monkey-ed.

Brief and to the point. You got the Expedited Critical Info Only plan hahaha
I saw the original version only yesterday afternoon. How did this lose 1/4 of its height and gain a bust of Stalin in such a short time?
