So they CAN do something nice. Wish it didn’t come down to a gigantic lawsuit for them to do it though

That was all until they pulled the rug from under me and i got slapped with bills for an inactive plan.
Even Amazon with their AWS would cancel stuff if you’ve clearly not been using your instance, but these guys changed the agreement and said fuck you anyway.
Not that it matters anyway, because genocide supporters don’t deserve any clients

A lot of Jetbrains plugins are incredibly opinionated, and you either have to use it their way, or gut the IDE, where half of its purpose loses value.
DIY editors like VSCode aren’t perfect but they’ve opened up a whole new market for things

dinckel@lemmy.worldto Games@lemmy.world•The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remaster is real - EurogamerEnglish12·10 days agoUnlikely to happen, because the leadership behind the project claimed they are in contact with Bethesda, to make sure no one’s stepping on anyone’s toes. Although obviously they can just pull the rug at any time, which would be catastrophic. Given that they’ve remade basically every single asset in the game, and require the original game to be owned and installed, it should be fine

It’d be diabolical if it were worse than a 3 year old Deck, but i’m not shocked that the mobile SoC is worse than the furnace that was the ps4 pro. They’ll undoubtedly be using frame gen for this, so time will tell how the quality is

Vast majority of the time git cli is enough, but for that rare situation when an operation is too complex, the gui was very convenient. Shame they nickel and dime you on everything now
dinckel@lemmy.worldto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•What android phones do you recommend and why?01·1 year agoA lot of people won’t like this answer, but I would not recommend anything from Samsung. Yes, the hardware on paper is typically excellent. However, everything else that comes with the experience is a complete joke to me.
- The bootloader is locked, and even if you manage to get it unlocked Knox will be permanently tripped.
- I never personally liked OneUI, but accepted it as long as it works. Unfortunately that’s also not been the experience for me.
- The last update they pushed for my phone broke Bluetooth connectivity, and it’ll never be fixed, because they said there won’t be any updates period. Now I’m left with a pen notification that never goes away, and a watch that disconnects every 15 minutes.
- Their own stock apps are not very convenient at all, but don’t forget to remind you to sign up for their updated data theft EULA every time you open them
And that’s just software. It doesn’t stop there. On my Note 10, the glass back completely peeled off, because of internal heat, and the only thing holding it together is the case. Keep in mind that this is from just regular usage. I don’t play games on my phone, or do anything else that would warrant this kind of output
I would like for the people, who come up with these ideas, to dogfood their own product. Actually force them to try their own medicine. It would be a single digit percentage of acceptance then
