Lmao. I’m curious on what about my post history makes me sound like a Russian bot.

dingus@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is something you learned in your line of work that other people wouldn't knowEnglish13·6 hours agoFirst, I do NOT work in IT or anything like that. But I seem to be the most tech savvy of all my coworkers. Occasionally one of them will ask for help and I’ll fix something for them. Sometimes one of them will comment that I am good with computers or something. Honestly, I figure things out just by clicking on everything. I think sometimes people are too afraid to click too many things for fear of breaking stuff, but there’s not a whole lot that can go catastrophically wrong imo. I tend to just click shit until I figure out what to do.
Goddamn you guys are the most paranoid people I’ve ever witnessed. What in the world do you think mega corps are going to do to me for babbling incoherent nonsense to ChatGPT?
No, it’s not a substitute for a real therapist. But therapy is goddamn expensive and sometimes you just need to vent about something and you don’t necessarily have someone to vent to. It doesn’t yield anything useful, but it can help a bit mentally do to do.

dingus@lemmy.worldto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•In the not too distant past this was a thingEnglish2·15 hours agoRight?? One of the first things I do when getting a new phone is disabling all the useless notifications and keeping the ones I care about. My phone doesn’t spam with notifications all day.
Should…should mine not???
Same here. I remember about once a year growing up the school would have a day or so dedicated to the topic. I remember once as a pre teen my mom tried to give me a book on puberty for some reason. I found it embarrassing so I never read it but I never felt I needed to. The school’s teachings were sufficient.
Iirc as a younger kid they focused a bit more on changes to your own body. And then as I got older, they got to talking more about the physical act of sex.
dingus@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Does anyone here actually use (or know someone that use) flip-able/foldable smartphones?English3·6 days agoZ Flip user here! I’ve been loving this phone. I’ve had a Z Flip since I think maybe 2022 now? Anyway, still enjoying the thing. Main reason I got it was the same reason you did… pocketability.
Modern smartphones are just so ridiculously huge that they don’t fit in the ridiculously small women’s pants pockets. I love that I can actually bring a modern smartphone everywhere without needing a purse or bag. Bonus is that it’s also just fun to open and close it… especially when hanging up calls lol.
dingus@lemmy.worldto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•The poop psa absolutely no one asked forEnglish2·6 days agoWow! I love red bell peppers but I’ve never ate enough of them to do this! I’m impressed!
dingus@lemmy.worldto Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•The poop psa absolutely no one asked forEnglish3·6 days agoYes and no. It just depends where along your GI tract the cancer is.
If the cancer is further up in your colon, the bleeding can turn your poo a dark color. BUT if you have cancer near to the “exit hole” (in your rectum or anus), it absolutely can involve bright red bleeding.
Also fun fact. Eating a metric fuckload of blueberries will also make your poo very dark lol. Found that out one day and I mildly scared the crap out of myself before remembering what I ate. Beets can also give you some fun colors.
dingus@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the scariest experience you've ever had?English3·6 days agoI’m pretty sure some choking victims literally do die that way! As a socially anxious person, I feel that hardcore.
dingus@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What's the scariest experience you've ever had?English3·6 days agoSomehow I’ve never actually fainted but I’ve had near fainting episodes tons of times. Literally every single time I’ve been too embarrassed to say anything to anyone or take immediate logical action bahaha! One time when I was a teen at dance class I started feeling that way. Decided to excuse myself to the bathroom. As I was walking down the hall, my vision went black and I had to literally feel for the bathroom door. No idea how I made it in there without fully passing out but it’s funny how self conscious I am to do that. I sat on the floor for a few minutes before going back to class. 🙃
Problem is I don’t generally like to walk around with a backpack or purse unless I’m traveling or spending a very long day away from home.
What the fuck even is this? I’m not familiar with whatever horrifying episode this is lol.
Return the slab
dingus@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What were you surprised to learn wasn't actually normal?English251·9 days agoI remember one day realizing it was odd that my dad would hug my mom but my mom would never hug him back. She would just stand there and let him hug her. Yeah he was an abusive husband and I was very happy for her when she finally left him after over a decade!
I’m not sure who out here is randomly posting that information to ChatGPT. But even if they were, your address and personal details are unfortunately readily publicly available on the web. It’s 2025.
