Because for older people it’s about learning new things. I’ve just gotten my 80yo mum onto using a smart phone and it’s baby steps but she’s learning how to use it. She’s learning something new. I didn’t like role queue, sure it’s a strong team buildup but I don’t think it should’ve been forced. I really liked being able to flex between classes depending on what was needed. Sometimes five DPS and a healer will break through a point. Being a tank or healer with bad DPS makes an already limited role even worse.

There’s other phones with user replaceable batteries. I looked it up a month or so ago. They’re not as ethical as fairphone, but still better than my drawer of working phones with dead batteries.

Personally I don’t really care about these words getting used outside of hateful intent, except that their continued casual use leaves the door open for haters to use the words. I grew up with a bunch of aboriginals who used abbo, widely considered a slur in Australia. I don’t use it anymore because it leaves the door open for haters to use the word. I will call some of my gay friends poof, another semi slur, but only in private. It’s not about your intent when using the word, it’s about the effect on society when the word gets used.

As a man, I was worried about that growing up, but the women I’m attracted to has aged with me. I’m friends with some women under 30 from the dog park, and I can appreciate they’re pretty but they also look like kids. I hope they meet nice guys around their age.
