I think in general you can also just expect that any OS, techy or not, ships with a basic, lightweight text editor. The fact that Windows seems to want to change that is an anti-feature for the entire OS.

Yeah, but if you’re forced to use Windows, then installing and running vim is a nightmare (unless you want gvim, but I don’t think anyone wants that).
VSCode: We already have an IDE.
Windows: But what about second IDE?
Same experience here. Despite rolling release and everything.

When you’re convinced that the world revolves around you, you probably won’t have much appreciation for the universe.
Except on news websites that only give you the choice between “subscribe for X€” and “read for free (accept all)”. So annoying. Still no idea why that’s legal.
Morrowind’s lore and artistic direction was far superior to Oblivion and Skyrim. I will fight people who disagree with this (not physically though, that hurts).
