We have plenty of distraction free brain freedom. It’s the formality of the meeting. If I’m fighting to see Karen through the steam and pausing to spit toothpaste I’m less concerned about the passive aggressive way she’s telling me I didn’t submit my code on time.

Half of what I say in a zoom call isn’t worth listening to anyway.

Instructions unclear, now my NAS’s voice is squeaky.

1. Entropy is a law of our universe. All data wants to be lost given a long enough timeline and without attention.

2. Divide your data into what you can’t do without and what you may not care about losing.

3. Take a backup out of your hands, make it as automatic as possible.

4. I sync to encrypted folders on Google drive then use msp360 cloud to automatically copy everything in that drive to another cheap cloud storage that is client side encrypted.

For the protection it gives me, it’s cheap.

This post doesn’t benefit me at all but I love how long it is.
